A vajacial is a focused facial for the bikini area, built to calm irritation, work on ingrown hairs and even out tone after waxing. It runs 30 minutes and pairs well with a Brazilian.

$55 for a vajacial, and the appointment runs 30 minutes. It can go on the same visit as your Brazilian wax, straight after the waxing. Book now.

What a vajacial actually is

Think of it as a facial, moved south. Same idea: cleanse, exfoliate, calm, hydrate, just built for skin that gets waxed, sits under fabric most of the day, and gets none of the attention your face does. I clean the area, exfoliate it gently, and follow with a mask and a treatment step chosen for what your skin needs that day. Nothing about it is a medical procedure, and I am not going to pretend otherwise. It is skin care, applied somewhere most people never think to apply it.

It is not a wax and it does not remove hair. If you want hair gone, that is a separate service. A vajacial is what you add before or after to keep the skin underneath in good shape.

Who books one, and why

Most of the people who book this already wax regularly and are dealing with one of three things: bumps that will not go away, patches of skin that have gotten darker over time, or general irritation that shows up a day or two after every appointment. A smaller group books it just because they have an event coming up, a trip, a swimsuit they want to feel good in, and they want the skin looking calm and even before that happens.

If you have never had a problem with this area and you wax without any drama afterward, you do not need this service. I will tell a client that outright. It earns its place when there is something to actually work on: ingrowns, redness that lingers, or tone that bothers you when you look down.

What happens in the 30 minutes

You are on the table, draped the same way you would be for any waxing appointment, and only the area being treated is exposed. I start with a cleanse, then an exfoliation step to clear away the dead skin and debris that traps hair and causes bumps in the first place. After that comes a mask suited to what I am seeing, whether that is irritation that needs calming or dullness that needs brightening. I finish with hydration. The whole thing is quick, matter-of-fact, and nobody in this room finds it awkward. I have done this often enough that you will not either.

Doing it right after a Brazilian

This is the pairing most clients ask for, and it makes sense. The skin is freshly waxed, the follicles are open, and that is exactly when exfoliation and a calming mask do the most good. Book the Brazilian first, and the vajacial follows in the same visit, same table, no extra trip. If you are unsure which wax style you actually want before you get here, Brazilian wax vs bikini wax lays out the difference plainly.

One thing worth knowing before you book: hair that is too short does not wax cleanly, so if it has been a while, check how long hair should be for waxing first. A vajacial does not fix a wax that could not grip properly.

Ingrown hairs and dark patches: what this helps, and what it cannot fix

Ingrown hairs happen when dead skin traps a hair before it can grow out straight, and exfoliation is the most direct way to stop that from happening. A vajacial helps here in a real way, not a vague one. If ingrowns are the main issue you are dealing with, I also have a full page on preventing ingrown hairs after waxing that goes further into the daily habits that matter between visits.

Darkening and uneven tone are slower to shift. Some of it responds to regular exfoliation and the brightening step in this treatment, and clients who come in consistently do see the area even out over a few months. What it will not do is erase years of friction, heat, or hormonal changes overnight, and I am not going to sell you one appointment as a fix for that. If tone and pigmentation are your main concern and you want to understand the broader picture, my page on hyperpigmentation treatment covers how that process actually works across the body, not just this one area.

What a vajacial cannot do: stop hair from growing back, remove hair permanently, or undo a skin condition that needs a doctor. If something looks infected, unusually painful, or has changed shape recently, that is a conversation with a physician, not an esthetician.

Aftercare for the next few days

Keep it simple. Avoid tight synthetic fabric for the rest of the day if you can, since heat and friction are what trigger irritation in the first place. Skip the pool, the hot tub, and anything that involves sitting in sweat for a while. If I have recommended an exfoliating step for you to do at home between visits, ease into it rather than starting heavy the same week. Sarasota humidity does the area no favors either, so loose, breathable clothing for a day or two makes a real difference in how calm the skin stays.

If you had the Brazilian and the vajacial back to back, treat it as one recovery window rather than two. The skin has been through enough for one appointment, and pushing anything additional onto it the same day is not worth it.

How it fits with regular waxing

This is not a service most people need every time they wax. I usually suggest it around every second or third appointment, or whenever ingrowns or irritation have started building up again, whichever comes first. If you wax on a set schedule already, ask me at your next visit and I will tell you honestly whether your skin needs it that day or whether the money is better saved. For a broader look at how waxing itself works here, the waxing and hair removal page covers the rest of the menu.

Is Vajacial right for you?

A vajacial at SASS SRQ is for ingrown hairs, bumps, dark marks and dryness on the bikini area, and pairs well with waxing. It is not a fit during an active infection, an open cut or an irritated rash in the area.

Frequently asked questions

Does a vajacial hurt?

No. There is no waxing involved in this service on its own, so there is no pulling. If you pair it with a Brazilian, the vajacial part happens after the waxing is done and only involves cleansing, exfoliation and a mask.

Is it awkward to have this done?

It is a normal part of my day, treated the same as any other facial. You are draped the same way as for waxing, and only the area being worked on is exposed. Most clients relax into it after the first minute or two.

Can I get a vajacial without also getting a Brazilian?

Yes. It stands on its own as a skin treatment. Plenty of clients book it separately, especially when the focus is calming irritation between wax appointments rather than right after one.

Will it get rid of ingrown hairs completely?

It targets the main cause, which is dead skin trapping hairs before they grow out straight, so it genuinely helps. It will not guarantee zero ingrowns forever, since that also depends on your skin, your hair growth pattern and what you do at home between visits.

How soon will I see results on dark spots or uneven tone?

Not after one visit. Tone changes gradually with consistent exfoliation and care over a few months. If pigmentation is your main concern, read through the hyperpigmentation page for the fuller picture before you decide how many visits to plan for.

How do I book, and can I add it to an existing appointment?

Book online or call the studio directly, and mention if you want it added onto a Brazilian wax visit so I can schedule the time correctly. Call (941) 354-9099 if you would rather talk it through first.
