At my studio in Downtown Sarasota, microneedling costs $275 per session, and the appointment is 75 minutes. That is the whole price for the visit.

Microneedling cost varies a lot from one provider to the next, and the price on its own does not tell you much. In this article I want to walk you through what my $275 covers, why other places may charge more or less, and how to think about a single session versus a series. I'm Lynn, the owner and only esthetician at SASS SRQ, so everything here comes from how I work with my own clients.

What microneedling costs at SASS SRQ

One session is $275. It is booked as a 75-minute appointment, which gives me time to do the work properly without rushing you through.

Here is roughly how that time is used:

  • A short conversation about your skin, what you want to change, and anything that might mean we should wait or choose a different treatment.
  • Cleansing and preparing the skin so it is clean before any needling starts.
  • The microneedling itself, adjusted to the areas we talked about.
  • Calming the skin afterward and going over what to do at home for the next few days.

You are with me, one on one, for the full appointment. I don't hand you off to someone else partway through, because there is no one else. That is part of what you are paying for.

What affects the cost of microneedling

When you compare prices around Sarasota, or anywhere, you will usually see a wide range. A few things tend to explain the difference.

Who is doing the treatment. Microneedling is offered by estheticians in spas and by medical offices such as dermatology practices and med spas. A medical setting may charge more, and in some cases it can offer things I can't, like deeper medical procedures. I am an esthetician, not a doctor, and I work within that scope.

How long the appointment is. A 30-minute slot and a 75-minute appointment are not the same service, even if both are called microneedling. Time matters for prep, for careful work around the eyes and mouth, and for explaining aftercare. When you compare prices, ask how long you will actually be in the chair.

Add-ons and extras. Some providers combine microneedling with other things, such as PRP, which uses your own blood, or other add-ons that raise the price. I don't offer PRP, PRF, lasers, or injectables. If one of those is what you want, a dermatologist or medical provider is the right place to ask.

Location and overhead. Rent, staffing, and the cost of supplies all show up in the final price. A large clinic with a front desk team has different costs than a small studio run by one person. That doesn't make one better than the other. It just explains some of the gap.

Single sessions vs. packages

Many places sell microneedling in packages, often a set of sessions at a lower price per visit. That can make sense, because most clients see better results from a series than from one visit. Collagen builds slowly, so skin usually keeps changing for weeks after a treatment.

Before you buy any package, anywhere, I suggest asking a few questions:

  • Is the package paid up front, and what happens if you need to stop or move away?
  • Is the per-session price actually lower than booking one at a time?
  • Will the same person treat you every time?
  • Have they looked at your skin before recommending a number of sessions?

At SASS SRQ the price I quote is $275 per session. If you want to talk about how many sessions might make sense for your skin, call me and we'll go through it together. I would rather start with one visit and see how your skin responds than sell you a number you may not need.

Why a cheap microneedling offer may not be the same thing

You will sometimes see very low prices, especially in online deals. Some of those can be fine. But it's worth knowing what could be different behind the number.

  • The appointment may be much shorter, with less time for prep and aftercare.
  • The price may cover only part of the face, with the rest charged extra.
  • The device, needle cartridges, or products used may be different.
  • You may not know who is treating you, or what their training is.
  • The low price may be tied to a package or membership you have to commit to.

None of this means a lower price is automatically a bad choice. It means you should ask the same questions you would ask anyone who is going to work on your face. A good provider will be glad to answer them.

Is microneedling the right spend for your skin

Microneedling is a good fit for many people who want to work on texture, fine lines, enlarged pores, or mild scarring. For some clients, though, another treatment gives more for the money. If your main concern is dullness or congestion, a facial might be a better first step. If you're weighing the two, I wrote about choosing between a HydraFacial and microneedling.

One more cost to plan for is your skin care after the treatment. With our Florida sun, protection is not optional, especially in the days after microneedling. My guide to caring for your skin after microneedling covers what to use and what to avoid.

Frequently asked questions

How much does microneedling cost in Sarasota?

Prices vary depending on who does the treatment, how long the appointment is, and what is included. At SASS SRQ, microneedling is $275 per session for a 75-minute appointment. Medical offices that add procedures like PRP will usually charge more.

What is included in the $275?

The $275 covers your 75-minute microneedling appointment with me: the skin consultation, prep, the treatment, and aftercare guidance.

How many microneedling sessions will I need?

It depends on your skin and your goals. Most clients see more change from a series of treatments than from a single visit, because collagen builds gradually. I'll give you my honest opinion after I see your skin, and you can decide from there.

Why is microneedling more expensive at some places?

Higher prices often reflect a medical setting, added procedures like PRP, larger overhead, or a longer appointment. Lower prices can mean a shorter visit or a smaller treatment area. Ask what is included so you are comparing the same thing.

Does SASS SRQ offer microneedling with PRP?

No. I don't offer PRP, PRF, lasers, injectables, or medical procedures. If you're interested in those, a dermatologist or medical provider is the better call.

Is microneedling worth the cost compared to a facial?

For texture, fine lines, and mild scarring, many clients find microneedling worth it. For glow, hydration, or congestion, a facial can be a gentler and less expensive place to start. We can talk it through on the phone before you decide.
