HydraFacial Cost: What I Charge in Sarasota, and What Moves the Number

The short answer on HydraFacial cost
Most people asking about HydraFacial cost want a number, and every article they open gives them a range wide enough to drive a car through. So here is mine. The Deluxe HydraFacial at SASS SRQ is $259, and that covers the full protocol for the whole appointment. It is the same as what I charge for microneedling, which surprises people often enough that I have a standing answer for it.
I am one aesthetician in one room in downtown Sarasota. I cannot tell you what a chain in another state charges, and I would not trust a number I made up for the sake of sounding thorough. What I can tell you is what sits behind mine.
Why the number is what it is
Two things drive it, and neither is glamorous.
The first is consumables. The tips and the serums are single use. Every appointment opens new ones and throws them away at the end, which is the part of the treatment that makes it hygienic and also the part that makes it cost what it costs. There is no version of this where I reuse a tip.
The second is time. The Deluxe protocol runs the length of the appointment rather than the twenty-minute express version you sometimes see advertised. When you find the same treatment name at half the price, one of those two things has usually been cut, and it is worth asking which before you book.
What moves the price of a session
The length of the appointment is the biggest lever. The Deluxe runs 60 minutes at $259. There is also an Elite version, 75 minutes at $299, and a shorter targeted visit is priced differently again. There are days when the shorter one is genuinely the right call and I will say so.
Boosters change the total as well. The serum boosters are chosen for what your skin is doing that week, and adding one is a real decision rather than a default. So are add-ons like LED light therapy or lymphatic massage, each of which is its own line.
Skin condition matters too. If you arrive with congestion that needs more careful clearing, or with sensitivity that means I slow the whole thing down, that changes what the appointment involves. I will tell you before we start, not after. If you want the wider picture on how I price everything else, my page on what moves the price of any facial here covers the same logic across the menu.
The cheaper option, and when I would tell you to take it
The SASS is $125, and it covers a cleanse, exfoliation and extractions by hand. If you extract easily, you are not sensitive, and you are not walking into an event afterwards, that is the honest choice and you should keep the $134.
If you are congested, reactive, dry, or going somewhere straight from the table, the HydraFacial earns the difference, and what a hydrafacial for blackheads actually clears is worth knowing before you decide. I wrote out the two side by side because clients kept asking me to compare them properly, and the comparison is more useful than my opinion in a sentence.
What you are paying for that does not show up on a price list
You are paying for someone to look at your skin before touching it. Every appointment starts with an assessment, and some of them end with me telling a client that today is not the day for this treatment. That happens more than you would expect, usually with active breakouts or recent resurfacing, and I would rather lose the booking than run a protocol that makes your skin worse for a week.
You are also paying for the treatment to be adjusted rather than run on autopilot. The exfoliation level and the serums change depending on what I find. That is the whole reason a trained person is holding the device.
Thinking about cost over a year rather than a visit
A single facial is not going to undo years of Gulf coast sun. If you are weighing this as a one-off, weigh it honestly. Most clients who see the results they were hoping for are coming in on some kind of rhythm, and the rhythm is usually monthly. I go into the reasoning on how often should you get a hydrafacial, including the cases where I tell people to come less often, not more.
If you are trying to work out whether the treatment justifies the spend at all, are hydrafacials worth it is the page where I answer that without selling, and hydrafacial vs microneedling is the one to read if you are weighing the two treatments that cost the same here. Some people it suits. Some people I send to a $125 appointment instead.
Before you compare prices anywhere else
Two questions will tell you most of what you need to know about a quoted price. Ask how long the appointment is, and ask whether boosters are included or extra. A studio quoting $150 for a thirty-minute session and a studio quoting $259 for a full protocol are not selling the same thing, even though the treatment has the same name.
If you are still working out what the treatment even does before you worry about the number, start with what is a hydrafacial and come back to the money afterwards. It is easier to judge a price when you know what is being done.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a HydraFacial cost at SASS SRQ?
The Deluxe HydraFacial is $259. That is the full protocol for the full appointment, with single-use tips and serums included. Boosters and add-ons like LED or lymphatic massage are priced separately, and I will tell you the total before we start.
Why does a HydraFacial cost more than a regular facial?
Single-use consumables and appointment length. The tips and serums are opened for you and discarded afterwards, and the full protocol runs longer than an express facial. The SASS at $125 is the same room and the same aesthetician, just a different treatment.
Is there a cheaper HydraFacial option?
A shorter targeted session is priced differently from a full one. Whether that makes sense depends on what your skin needs, and I would rather talk it through than sell you a shorter appointment that does not do the job.
Do you offer packages or a membership?
Some concerns respond better to a series spaced over time than to a single visit, and a series can come with a different cost structure. It is worth asking when we talk, because it depends on what we are treating.
Does the price change if I add a booster?
Yes. Boosters are chosen for what your skin is doing that week and each one is its own line item. I only suggest one when it genuinely fits, not to move the total.
Is a HydraFacial worth the money?
For congested, dehydrated or sensitive skin that does not tolerate manual extractions well, usually yes. For skin that extracts easily and is not reactive, the deep cleansing45 deep cleansing facial often does the same job for less. I go through this properly on the worth it page.
Want a real number for your skin?
Call me at (941) 354-9099 and I will tell you what your appointment would actually cost and what I would include, before you commit to anything. If the answer is that you should book the $125 facial instead, I will say that too.
